HUNoEd: Sources, make file, instructions, binaries
You find below two ZIP files:
- for Linux: hunoeduV35z.zip, built with wxWidgets V3.2.2 and GNU g++ V11.4.x
- for Windows: hunoedwV35z.zip, built with wxWidgets V3.2.x, with make files for GNU g++ V14.2.x
Note the slight difference in the spelling: "u" for Linux, "w" for Windows.
Both ZIP files should contain the same sources, but different make files and
different executables. The binaries in both ZIP files have been built for INTEL architectures (ARM etc. not tested).
The pre-built executables in the two ZIPs are called:
- hunoedu (for Linux, static build)
- hunoed.exe (for Intel based Windows, static build)
As described in the build docu proceed
with these steps to build hunoedx from source:
- unzip the respective ZIP in an empty directory
- ensure that wxWidgets, g++ and the "bin utils" (make etc.) are installed. Cygwin or MSys are not needed.
- under Linux: ensure that MIDI is working. Install the fluidsynth synthesizer (or QSynth) and soundfonts and test MIDI
- edit the make file and adapt pathes to the wxWidgets installation, to the compiler, to the include files and to the libraries
- start the build/make process on the command line with command make -f noedu.mak or make -f noedw.mak
- start the editor with one of the XML (=MusicXML) sample files as argument
- if necessary make modifications in the initialisation file noed.ini
This PDF file shows a brief overview of the classes used in my source code.
Very technical classes, wxWidgets classes and dialog classes are not included.
